I'm actually a regular at Strip. Have recently even signed up for a maintenance and skin rejuvenation package with them. However, they are expensive that made me go to Musee. My underarms have no hair after countless of maintenance sessions with Strip, and I saw myself going to them for IPL underarms maybe once every 9-10 months? Once my maintenance package is up, they were surprised that I said no to them (although yes, I'm continuing my Brazilian IPL there). It dawned on me that it's not worth spending $900 on a 6 sessions when:
1) I'm under utilizing these sessions (There are no expiry dates on IPL sessions and yes, I can do it ANYTIME. But with almost once every 9-10 months that I'm there. This shows that my hair growth has almost ceased and sessions can be deemed redundant. I might as well use that money on YSL tribute heels right?)
2) It's costly at Strip
So upon hearing about Musee from a colleague of mine, I've decided to try them out. Its $48 for UNLIMITED sessions. You've heard me right. UNLIMITED sessions. Its very simple actually. For the first 2 years, you get IPL sessions for 6 times a year. This means every 2 months, you'll have an appointment with them. The third year would be 4 times a year. The 3rd year is when you reach maintenance stage and so you don't need to frequent Musee that often, but it's the start of maintenance so, its still every 3 months once, compared to every 9-10 months.
This is me prior to getting treatment. Vain, I know:
A storage for bags/clothes.
What happens next is there will be a blue spaghetti top for you to change into. Just change the top, you don't need to strip fully.
A cool pack will be placed around the armpit and the therapist will leave for around 2 minutes before removing the pack and applying cream on the area. Almost the same as Strip, just that it's way cheaper. And because I actually don't need to go every 2 months, as Strip already ceased all hair growth from my underarms, it still makes sense to sign up this package instead of paying Strip. Just in case of stray hairs.
The next post - A quaint Japanese restaurant in Club Street!
