Not feeling well for the past two weeks. Yes, being a pregnant mummy isn't easy.

My emails are now all flooded with "mummy stuff". For all new mothers out there (like myself), I have stuff to recommend. Just for your info, I've not tried these yet. But I still got them after much reviews. Done a thorough research before purchasing these products.

First things first - Confinement! I'm one of the lucky souls to give birth late September, so my confinement month will be quite cooling. And since I didn't want my mum to boil the herbs for me to bathe (Truth be told: I'm more afraid of the smell), I've chanced upon this superb showergel.

To those who are appalled at why I intend to bathe, its simply for hygiene sake. Of course, I'll skip the non-bathing for 1 week, but afterwards, I'm hitting the showers with warm water and this shower gel. I feel that it's better for me to bathe as I intend to breastfeed. I want Leia to be healthy and with a good immune system, so breast-milk it is! And no way am I breastfeeding her when I'm sweaty and sticky! Imagine what poor Leia is ingesting. Benefits of this showergel:

  1. Its 3 main ingredients - Lemongrass, peppermint and desodium caudatum
  2. It saves the hassle of boiling the herbs
  3. It DOES NOT leave any sticky feeling and there's still an aroma of lemongrass afterbath.
  4. It relieves the "wind" and body ordour
  5. It relieves exhaustion (Although lets face it, with the arrival of the new baby, mummies to be will still be exhausted)
  6. Delay skin aging
  7. Reduce/ prevent fingers or joint aches after delivery
Cost: SGD$19.00
(Note: I paid SGD$17.00 instead as the lady boss gave me the sales discount as the motherhood expo fair is approaching)

The second item that I bought. In fact, I was behaving like your typical Singaporean (Being "Kiasu") and bought 3 at once! This aids backpains (which I'm suffering alot now) and more importantly, dispel "wind" in the tummy area too. Very good for rheumatism and arthritis as well. You literally say good-bye to all Joint pains! But wait, the BEST PART of this ginger cream is that it is slimming properties as well! Spread a 20-cent coin amount on your arms, thighs and belly and you'll get amazing results. There'll be a hot sensation during application, but thats because the cream is working its wonders! :)

(Note: Please avoid the tummy during pregnancy! We only need slender arms and thighs but not a slim/firm tummy DURING pregnancy)

Cost: SGD$22.90
(I paid SGD$17.50 per tube as it was on sale price due to the motherhood expo fair)

The last two items that I bought - Shampoo and Conditioner. Once again, I might only start shampoo-ing only after the first week of confinement (Still want to play safe than sorry!), but I'll prolly shampoo and condition once every 3 days or so. With Singapore's humid weather, its very daunting to sleep with an oily scalp. I'm sure mothers-to-be can understand how we are afraid of hair being oily. In addition, due to hormonal changes, we tend to drop hair after birth and thats where these babies comes in handy.

The shampoo and conditioner contains ginseng which stimulates hair growth and strengthening of hair cuticles, which is of the utmost importance after birth. You need not worry about your hair smelling of ginseng as well, as this is infused with Aloe Vera.

Cost: SGD$60.00
(I got these at SGD$53.00 due to the motherhood fair at expo)

My total splash: SGD$128! And it's definitely a steal. I'm sure mummies, no matter how tired we are will still want to look quite nice during confinement. I know we don't go out at all, but even if its to the little trips to the doctor for your baby's review, no matter what, as a woman, and vain beings, we still want to look our best!

So mummies-to-be, confinement can be made easy with these products (Let's face it, we still need to get up every 2 hours to feed the baby and what nots, that's unavoidable), but with these products to beautify ourselves, we'll feel confident and poise. Stepping out of our shell for baby shower is easy peasy too!

For more details about these products, go to: www.originsjamumassage.com. Speak to Rebecca, she's very nice and I love her service!

P.S. I've hired my post natal massage from Origins Jamu Massage too! I've got the 7 sessions, although is quite hesitant if I should change it to a 10-session instead. So once I start the massage sessions, I will do a review on it as well! :)

I know I'm supposed to get my blogshop up and running. I'm glad my model (Xq) showed some of the pictures to her friends, so I have sales coming in! Was grateful for that little gesture - Or maybe she wanted advice on how to improve her modeling skills - as any form of sales coming in is still revenue for me and Leia (That's the name I'm naming my little girl) :)

Back-dated pictures of Jiali, Winnie and myself. We had Korean again (I have no idea why everyone's into Korean. Don't get me wrong, it is delicious food. But maybe this pregnancy makes me want to have more of the Singaporean cuisine and pasta food) and then to Bliss Restaurant at Cheng San CC.

Finally, readers can get to see who am I. I'm 20 weeks pregnant, so I guess its not hard to spot who I am.

I'm the one in the middle with the bump (Most of it is hidden by Winnie). More peektures coming up!

And a very impromptu picture

And now let me rave about the drink to die for when you're pregnant! Hot sour plum tea. I'm loving it to bits after the girls brought me to this restaurant. I was craving for something sour and warm at the same time, seeing that I was a little tad sick of drinking juices/hot cocoa. I'm not ingesting any form of can drinks as I feel its unhealthy for Leia, although I know most mummies will tell me that I can have anything I want, just in moderation. And Bliss had the perfect concoction for me.

It was the perfect mix for sour-ish drink and yes, a week later I brought Cw to the same restaurant where we shared a pasta for supper and I ordered the sour plum tea. Its absolutely divine! And I figured how to make that drink on my own. Just steep a tea bag in hot water (preferably Lipton or any english tea of your choice) and add in 3 sour plums. Of course, the number of sour plums is to your preference too. Women who really enjoy the most sour stuff, go for 4-5 sour plums. Its having a little bit of heaven at home. :)

Changed my blog's template. The blue and green makes has a calming effect on me. Loving it!

So I met up with Shuyu and Ariel on what I call "Ariel's birthday celebration". Now both girls are on a holiday trip at BKK. Envious!! Cw promised me a small getaway in June, but not anywhere far as I'm pregnant, and I daren't try anything further than Bali as the Indonesian islands are just an hours ride away from home (I.e. closer to my gynae)

Dinner with the ladies:

I only have this picture for dinner as pictures of us are with Shuyu. I've enjoyed the day out totally. Missed chatting with them, gossiping and what nots.

Another dinner date with Karin - One of my bestest friend actually. Whom I've fought with, argued and yes, didn't speak to one another for YEARS!! But now that I met up with her, convos weren't awkward. Now that I'm moving onto another stage of life - I guess most embarassing moments were written off. Picture of us having Japanese at Sushi Tei at holland village:

Alrighty! And I'm done for now. I've got to prepare to head out for my cousin's 21st birthday dinner. Just hope it'll be over fast. Ciao!

I'm sitting on the floor typing this entry as we do not have a computer table anymore. Cw's room cannot accomodate anymore space UNLESS HE CLEARS HIS STUFF! Which he knows he should except that when he's home he is always playing his computer games which is annoying the shit out of me.

He is always facing the phone when we are out eating as well and any other form of nagging won't work! Any wives who can relate this, I totally understand how you feel.

So.... Where shall I start? There's been a lot a few changes recently. Our dear bed has arrived, which I'm totally fond of. We got a sealy bed and its comfort level is to the ultimate! Love love it to bits. The bed frame which we chose has got compartments in them too. Two drawers whcih I'M UTILIZING IT. It can be Cw's or my clothes stashed in it. Useful items will be in it and NOT his games. Gonna make a fuss if he wants that space for games.

Pictures will prove my point on why I love this bed. Cw's previous bed was horrendous. I refused to sleep on it as the hardness level is comparable to the floor. So we've been sleeping in the balcony. I'm using the couch as a make shift bed and he has a mattress. Before the bed came, our "room" looks like this - Couch and mattress are laid side by side:

A total mess aint it? But now with the new bed and us moving into the room, it looks like this:

The bed frame is sold separately. We got ours from www.beds.sg. All that you can see now are the drawers but underneath the mattress is the hydraulic style of storage. Meaning, after the mattress is removed, the frame will be lifted up automatically upwards with two compartments within. So luggage, winter wear and other bulky and not-used-frequently items can be stored. Saves up space in your wardrobe!

But the best has yet to be known. Sealy mattresses gets a 10yr warranty!! Yes, you've seen it right. So now Cw do not need to spend the extra money buying mattresses which has uncomfortable springs after 5yrs etc. I highly recommend it to mummies-to-be as both you and your baby needs rest. The back/leg aches isn't a joke and with a comfortable bed for support, I'll say this is an essential.

I'm a happy mummy now! :)
